First ‘Agenda for Freedom Summit’ - Istanbul on 25-26 October 2008

The first summit was attended by 14 States (Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, India, Panama, Mauritius, Morocco, Singapore, Switzerland, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the United States of America and Vietnam) as well as the European Commission.

Second 'Agenda for Freedom Summit' - Montebello, Quebec - Canada on 14-16 November 2009

A historic multilateral statement of policy principles regarding the implementation of bilateral air service agreements was signed by seven states in Montebello, Canada, on 16 November 2009.

The signatories are Chile, Malaysia, Panama, Singapore, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates and the United States of America. In total they represent some 60% of global aviation. The document was also endorsed by the European Commission.
